Portland Dining

Have you ever been to South Park? If you haven't and you're in Portland, Oregon, don't wait to stop in for a little bite or big meal. Located at 901 SW Salmon St, the restaurant touts its seafood, but all is good ... happy hour was my reason - for the lemon confit pizza of course 😉. Really, that was my favorite. But I heard that awesome dish may have been deleted from the menu ... so sad. However, the scoop is that there are many options for good tasting food at South Park. Try the spicy shrimp and grits or the burger, instead. You won't be disappointed. When I'm in the mood for a larger dish, the grilled swordfish is always a superb option!

Stop in and hit me back about your favorite dish.

Poll Question: Cake or Pie?

There is a long-standing debate between those who prefer cake and those that align best with pie.   Often people who like pie can do with or without cake. Some cake supporters say that pie is very much one dimensional, containing variations in crust and fillings, and that's it. As for cake, they say the recipes can be much more complex, offering many options with batter, filling, icing and crust like enclosures.

So, you might ask, where does that leave the discussion?

What's your favorite cake or pie recipe?

Good news: Favorite recipes make both cakes and pies appealing.

Have you never liked apple pie? If you're like me, not really ... until I experienced the apple pie recipe offered by Raw Jazz Man. Not only was the crust flaky, but the combination of aged cheddar cheese and green apples provides an unexpected decadent experience that is absolutely delicious!
